Debris workshops and trainings demonstrate techniques for reusing waste
materials, while also addressing the social and personal significance of reintegrating
our discards. The workshops are site specific, taking into account local waste
production, resource availabilty, need and interests. They also demand mutual
education, asking participants to share their own skills and ideas around reuse
and alternative waste management systems. Artist and waste researcher Taylor
Cass Stevenson has taught reuse craft and design in the context of peace and
security to kids and adults around the world.
